As of 12:01 a.m., November 15 the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) are on strike, impacting Canada Post services. During this labour disruption, Canada Post will not be picking up, processing or delivering any mail, affecting mail services.
Residents, businesses and community groups should use alternative delivery services for any mail being sent to the Municipality of Thames Centre. Items can be received by staff in-person during regular business hours (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) at the Thames Centre Municipal Office at 4305 Hamilton Road in Dorchester. An after hours drop box is also available.
Mail can be received and bill payments can be made in Thorndale, Tuesday to Thursdays at the Lions Community Centre (265 Upper Queen St) from 9 AM to 4 PM. A drop-off is also available.
Alternative methods of payment for property taxes and water billing include online banking, visiting your local bank and/or signing up for Pre-Authorized Payment Plans (PAPs) through the Municipality at https://www.thamescentre.on.ca/node/1337.
