2025 Community Grants Awarded
Over $40,000 in Grants Will Help Local Partners Carry Out Key Community Initiatives
THAMES CENTRE – The Municipality of Thames Centre is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s Community Partnership Grants.
Community Partnership Grants (or Community Grants) are grants awarded to groups which undertake projects that benefit the community. Community Grants of up to $10,000 are available for school groups, associations, non-profits, and other community groups for specific projects that provide a benefit to the community.
“The Municipality’s Community Grant program is designed to empower local groups to deliver on key community initiatives,” said Mayor Sharron McMillan. ”I’m also glad Council was able to find a way to increase the funds available for Community Grants at no extra cost to taxpayers.”
At last Monday’s Council meeting, Council reallocated funds from the Council Initiatives budget to provide more funding for Community Grants applications. This reallocation means there is no net increase to the Municipal Budget.
“Community Grants provide vital funding to local organizations for projects that make a positive impact on our community,” noted CAO David Barrick. “They allow Council to support local, community-led initiatives and ensure that municipal government is engaged with the community that we serve.”
