2025 TREE POWER Campaign is Now Open!
Residents Encouraged to Join in Tree Planting Campaign
THAMES CENTRE – The 2025 Tree Power campaign is now accepting online orders from local residents!
As of 9 AM this morning, Thames Centre residents can order one of seven local tree types at the Tree Power website: https://shop.thamesriver.on.ca/product/thames-centre-tree-power.
“Last year, an incredible 15,000 trees were planted in Thames Centre,” said Danielle Lockie, Chair of Thames Centre’s Environmental Advisory Committee. “We can build on that success with the Tree Power program, which gives people a chance to directly participate in building a greener, healthier community.”
Tree planting was identified as the top local priority of Thames Centre residents in a 2024 survey conducted by the Environmental Advisory Committee. Thames Centre also adopted an official Tree Planting Plan last year, which aimed to plant 50,000 trees over 25 years.
Tree Power is an annual tree planting initiative that is run in conjunction with the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority.
Once ordered, trees can be picked up at the Municipality’s Operations Centre at 4475 Trafalgar Street on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 between 8 AM at 10 AM.
