Meet Sherri Davidson and Rebecca McCulloch – Volunteer Firefighters in Thames Centre!
For International Women's Day, we're recognizing these extraordinary women who serve on the front lines to protect our community!
Sherri Davidson
Since June 2023, Sherri has proudly served as a volunteer firefighter at Thames Centre Station #2, taking on new challenges with unwavering determination. Her passion for learning led her back to school in 2021 to pursue firefighting, and she has since earned her Fire and Life Safety certification, which she uses to help educate the community about fire safety.
She also volunteers with Victim Services of Middlesex, Camp Molly, and London’s Camp Fitt, inspiring the next generation of first responders. Sherri’s adventurous spirit is undeniable; she has taken on beekeeping, scuba diving, and even performed in The Little Mermaid with her daughter. She stays active through golf, curling, baseball, snowboarding, and hitting the gym, always challenging herself to grow.
Alongside her many pursuits, Sherri and her family have been building custom homes in the London region since 2018. She is also a proud step-parent to Olivia, Alexis, and Luke—and a fur mom to three!
Rebecca McCulloch
A volunteer firefighter at Station #2 and a full-time police officer, Rebecca has dedicated her life to protecting and serving others. She joined the fire service in July 2020 with a mission to be part of something bigger than herself, embracing the teamwork and camaraderie that firefighting offers. Growing up playing competitive sports, she thrives in a team environment, constantly pushing herself to grow—both physically and mentally.
Rebecca is committed to empowering more women in firefighting. She is also a strong advocate for mental health awareness in emergency services, ensuring first responders have the tools and support they need to navigate the challenges of their roles.
Sherri and Rebecca lead with passion and purpose. Whether responding to emergencies, mentoring future first responders, or educating the public about fire safety, they are examples of what women in leadership can do to build a brighter future for all us.
