National Truth and Reconciliation Day

Today, on National and Truth and Reconciliation, in honour of the children who did not come home, those who have lived as survivors, and their families, the Municipality of Thames Centre will lower the flags to half-mast.

We all have an important role to play in reconciliation. The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation has resources to develop a deeper understanding of the legacy of residential schools, including workshops, videos and links to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada's reports on their website: https://nctr.ca/

For those who need support, a national Residential School Survivor Crisis Line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

1-866-925-4419.
