Yesterday’s Grand Opening of the Newly Renovated FlightExec Centre!

Yesterday’s Grand Opening of the newly renovated FlightExec Centre was nothing short of inspiring. The turnout was amazing, and the support from our community truly warmed our hearts.
Our FlightExec Centre has undergone significant transformations, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you! The Active Living Centre now boasts three multi-purpose rooms and a shared kitchen with the auditorium, creating space for more seniors and year-round activities.

This is not just about new walls—it’s about enhancing lives. For VON Middlesex-Elgin, the expanded space means a relocated therapeutic tub for community bathing, a larger adult day program, and new rooms for overnight respite care. And that’s not all—the auditorium is now bigger, offering a versatile venue for larger events and gatherings.

We’re grateful beyond words. A huge thank you to Council, our Active Living Advisory Committee, the Dorchester & District Lions Club, dedicated staff, MCI Design-Build Corporation Construction, and every single sponsor who helped turn this dream into reality, especially the estate of Maxwell Parker.

We hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did, and that the community embraces this incredible new space. From the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester to the The Playroom Experiment, there’s something for everyone. This is your space, Thames Centre. Let’s make new memories here together.
