Fall Hydrant Flushing
From Monday October 16th to Friday, October 20th, the Thames Centre Water Department will be conducting their Fall Flushing Program. This essential process, taking place between 8:30am to 4pm is crucial for maintaining our water quality.
Why the Flush?
Fire hydrant flushing removes sediment and inactive water, ensuring our hydrants are ready for any emergencies.

We are committed to delivering the highest quality water. These steps enhance overall water quality in our distribution system.
Flushing Tips!
- Switch water softeners to "bi-pass" mode.
- Avoid laundry during flushing times; discolored water may stain clothes.
- After flushing, run a cold water tap for 2-3 minutes to clear any discoloration. If issues persist, repeat after 1 hour.
