Senior of the Year Award
Congratulations to Willy Rooyakkers!
At this weeks Council Meeting, Karen Gress, Thames Centre's Senior Centre Coordinator, announced that Willy Rooyakkers is the winner of the Senior of the Year Award! Mayor Sharron McMillan presented Willy with the award and thanked her on behalf of Council for her incredible contributions and positive impact on the community.
The Senior Centre is truly blessed to have Willy. For nearly 30 years, she has been a dedicated volunteer, helping with hot meals, bazaars, and garage sales—Willy is always there every step of the way. Thank you, Willy, for your hard work, dedication, and friendship. You are deeply appreciated and celebrated!
