Thames Centre Now Accepting Applications for 2025 Grants

Groups Can Now Apply for 2025 Community Grants and Community Improvement Plan Grants

THAMES CENTREThe Municipality of Thames Centre is excited to announce that it is accepting applications for Community Partnership Grants, and Community Improvement Program grants.

These programs were continued as part of the 2025 Budget.

“These grants help us form partnerships within the community,” noted Mayor Sharron McMillan. “We’re pleased to have passed a budget that has kept costs low for taxpayers, while continuing to fund programs that help to make our community a safer and more vibrant place.”

Community Partnership Grants, also referred to as Community Grants, are designed to help local schools, neighborhood groups, and other local organizations make a positive impact in their communities. This initiative offers financial support for grassroots projects that promote local arts and culture.

The 2025 Budget allocates $40,000 for Community Grants, with a maximum grant of $10,000 available for any application. Applications for Community Grants must be submitted by February 10, 2025 at 4:00 PM.

Budget 2025 also continues the Community Improvement Program (CIP). CIP grants are available to help fund improvements to private land, including commercial, agricultural and industrial lands. Funds can be used to offset costs which enhance the community, improve safety, or implement Green Building standards.

“CIP grants foster economic development and sustainability in our community,” said CAO David Barrick. “These grants incentivize businesses to make property improvements that benefit the community as a whole.”

CIP Grant applications remain open year-round, and the program remains active until funds are committed. $20,000 in funding is available. Applicants can apply for grants in eight different categories.
