Oversized Waste Pickup

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

ACCEPTABLE MATERIAL                                             

• Set out by 7:00 a.m. on the day of your collection

• Items must be set out on your property,
  do not place across the road or in ditches

• Bag tags are not required for large items                                        

• Oversized Waste
  - Couches, chairs, tables, mattresses, windows, mirrors, etc.
  - Carpet and linoluem (4 feet maximum, rolled)
  - Water softners must be completely free of water and media

• Wood and Wood Products
  - Fencing, picnic tables, skids, doors, desks, cabinets, etc,.
  - Dismantled and bundled (4 feet maximum)
  - All exposed nails must be flattened down or removed
  - Wire must be removed
  - No steel attached

• Yard Waste
  - Leaves, sticks, tree trimming, household plants
  - Must be bundles and tied or bagged in paper bags
  - Limbs no longer than 10cm in diameter
  - Bundles must be no longer than 4 feet

UNACCEPTABLE MATERIAL

• Regular household garbage and recycling

• Drywall

• Boxes with small miscellaneous items

• Tires

• Propane tanks

• Hazardous household waste

• Electronics

• Stumps

• Singles, concrete, bricks/stones/ceramic tile

• Broken glass

• Freon filled appliances

• Flower pots or trays

• Toilets, sinks

• Any items that will fit into a garbage bag
